2016年的新SAT改革受到众人关注，但2015年秋天即将到来的ACT写作改革却鲜有人问津。那我们来说下ACT写作改革吧!现有的ACT写作考试的形式是给出一个和学校、家庭或者普通法律相关的话题，然后要求考生在30分钟内完成一篇议论文。ACT写作看上去就像一个简单的辩论演讲，比起SAT的写作要容易些，但是总的形式上还是和现有SAT写作很像的。
2015年秋天，ACT写作将改革，其复杂度将有所提升。考试会给到考生们一个基本的话题，但是同时也会给出对一个问题的三个不同观点。考生们的作文需要涵盖这三个观点。新ACT写作会比现有的ACT写作要稍难些，因为考生们需要消化更多的信息，但同时也可以说比现在的ACT写作要简单些，因为更多的信息能更多地启发考生们的创意观点。
Current Events: New ACT Essay Format
Though many people discuss the upcoming changes to the SAT in 2016, few people have focused on the change that will happen to the ACT Essay in Fall 2015. Currently, the ACT Essay asks you to spend 30 minutes writing an argumentative essay about a given topic related to school, family, or common law. This assignment is similar to the current SAT Essay, though perhaps it is a little easier to approach, since it seems like a simple debate speech.
In Fall 2015, the ACT will update its Essay format and make the task a little more complex. Students will still be given a basic topic, but they will now be given three different ‘perspectives’ on the issue. Students will be required to write an essay that engages these three perspectives. This task will be slightly more difficult than the current assignment, since there is more information for the student to digest, but it also will be easier since more content is provided to ‘spark’ a creative idea for an essay.
