在上次的讲解中，我们讲解完了ACT英语考点之定语从句，今天我们趁热打铁，讲一下在ACT英语考试中同样频繁出现的从句——状语从句，下面就和小编一起来看一下ACT英语考点之状语从句的相关知识吧。
何为状语从句?状语是谓语里的另一个附加成分，它附加在谓语中心语的前面，从情况、时间、处所、方式、条件、对象、肯定、否定、范围和程度等方面对谓语中心进行修饰或限制。状语从句一般由连词(从属连词)引导，也可以由词组引起。从句位于句首或句中时通常用逗号与主句隔开，位于句尾时可以不用逗号隔开。状语从句有九大种，下面我们就一起来看一看。
第一类就是时间状语从句，根据引导词的不同，又可以分为两大类。
常用引导词：when, while, as, as soon as, before, after, since, till, until.
其中还有一些特殊的引导词特殊引导词: the minute, the moment, the second, every time, the day, the instant, immediately, directly, no sooner … than, hardly …when, scarcely … when
常用引导词：I will pay a visit to you when I finish my homework. when 引导的一个句子指明主句谓语动词pay a visit to的发生时间,作状语.
特殊引导词：The students were quiet as soon as the teacher came in. as soon as 引导的就是 were quiet的时间，做此句话的状语
第二类就是地点状语从句，常见引导词: where;特殊引导词：Wherever/Everywhere/ Anywhere
He advised me to live where the air is fresh. 他建议我住在空气清新的地方。
第三类就是原因状语从句，常见引导词：because , for, as, since
特殊引导词：In that , Seeing (that), now(that), considering(that), given(that),
I like the green color, because it makes me feel fresh. 这里的because引导的就是原因状语从句
第四类就是目的状语从句，常见引导词： 常见引导词：so that, in order that 或that， for fear that; in case; lest;(注意：lest(以免，以防止)、 for fear that (生怕); in case (万一)引导从句时，一般用情态动词should, 且should 常常被省略。)
I run quickly so that I can catch the bus. 这里的so that 引导的就是目的状语从句，run quickly就是为了可以赶上最后的一趟车。
第五类就是条件状语从句， 常见引导词：if，unless，as (so) long as (只要)， on condition that , in case 等引导。
If it rains, I will cancel our meeting. 这里的if 引导的就是条件状语从句，它本身就是一个完整的句子，同时在这里表示一种条件。
第六类就是让步状语从句，常见引导词：(连词)though, although, while, as, even if, even though;(介词)despite, in spite of, nevertheless and notwithstanding.
Though he was inexperienced, he did a very good job. 尽管他没有经验，但是他表现得很不错。这里的though引导的就是一种让步。
第七类就是比较状语从句，常见引导词：as…as, than的使用.
The book is more expensive than he expected. 这里是由than引导的比较状语从句
第八类就是方式状语从句，常见引导词：as， as…so… , as if/as though 和the way
Remember, you must do everything as I do.记住,你们务必照我的样子去做每一件事。这里的as 说的就是你要按照我做事情的方式，做状语，所以是方式状语从句。
第九类就是结果状语从句，常见引导词：so…that, such…that
He is so patient a teacher that we all like him. 他是一个如此耐心的老师，我们都很喜欢他。
